A national TV talk show plans to tackle the issues surrounding sexual violence against men and boys, and has asked for RAINN’s help recruiting audience members. The show’s goal is to fill the audience with male survivors and their spouses or partners. Still in the early planning stage, the show hopes to illustrate the pain that so many survivors experience, and discuss the complicated issues that male survivors face. Fill out this brief form to be considered as an audience member (RAINN will share your application with the show’s producers, who are solely responsible for selecting the audience). www.rainn.org/national-talk-show-looking-for-male-survivors

Wow. Thanks, Moriji.
I wonder how many of us would feel up to that level of exposure. For me, I'd be terrified that one of my parents would be watching and would try to contact me afterward. On the other hand, that wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. I can always hang the heck up.
The positive benefit of a show like this could be enormous, if it is done well. Sensationalizing it would be a nightmare, but legitimizing it could be very healing, and could break boys and men out of the social closet that still very much exists.
I'm going to discuss it with my wife before making any decisions, but I really appreciate you bringing it to our attention.

FYI, this is for Oprah. I just received an email asking me to answer more questions. Wish me luck in getting selected so I can let more people know about covert incest.

I echo the same thoughts as Digger. If there was some type of anonymity I might consider.
With Opera being a victim herself though, I think it would probably be done tastefully.

FYI - I responded some time ago and never got a response. Good luck, Moriji!
