So psyched to have found this forum. I'm seeking advice on something unusual: how to reclaim the ability to feel safe flirting and seducing. I (22F) was raised in a covertly incestuous relationship with my father, I'm 22 and I'm finally waking up. I have lots of close guy friends because being loving and friendly comes naturally, but flirting and seducing is a language I can't speak. I realize that it's because I learned about sexual feelings in the context of a taboo relationship, and so now, any type of sexually charged communication invokes this taboo feeling. So I, very literally, cannot flirt. I've learned to associate flirting and seduction with taboo. Thanks! If you have a shared experience, let me know!
